Your written proposal lists the Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval for each product, and we prepare the permit and coordinate inspections through the final inspection. We also give you the documents for your wind mitigation inspection.
Impact openings can qualify for wind mitigation discounts. The size of any discount depends on your insurer and policy, so ask your insurance agent which discounts apply to you before you choose upgrades.
A Roof Check During Hurricane Season
Your roof closes the house against sun, rain and wind, so it's worth a look during hurricane season. On the estimate visit, our roofing team typically checks:
- Flashing: the metal around vents, skylights and wall joints, where leaks often start.
- Fasteners: loose, missing or rusted fasteners, and whether the roof covering is secured.
- Tiles or shingles: pieces that are cracked, slipped, lifted or missing.
- Seals: around vents and pipes, and any sealant that has dried out or cracked.
We explain what we see and talk through any repair or replacement options. A visual check can't find every problem, and what we can see depends on the roof and on safe access. Avrax Impact Windows & Doors Corp. is a licensed roofing contractor, and repairs and re-roofs are permitted and inspected where required.
